Steve and Tim have more chemistry than Alya and Adam đŸ˜‰. Also, Amy managing the controls in the radio studio having had no prior experience - come on.
First of all, Timmy two pints is the line of the month. That had me actually LOL. Second, when the heck was the last time we've seen the inside of the cab office set? Glad to see the chair is still in the corner.
Loved Steve and Tim on the bench. Great scene with great chemistry.
Why, WHY with the Adam and Alya? Just so weird. She was ready to kill him a week ago. Why couldn't she have just been offered the job and said see ya later suckers?
Last, I really hope its Bobby that has killed Lauren, otherwise there is no use for that character. But I do think Max and his girlfriend know something for sure.
I would love to see the end of Bobby, too. I missed the Timmy Two Pints line, not sure how... good one, Tim! I also agree it's been a while since we've seen the cab office and the chair, the infamous chair!
Well, you pretty much talked about all the scenes that I thought were touching, funny, and out of the blue (Alya and Adam). I love Steve and Tim's relationship, and the bench scene was funny yet heartwarming at the same time. Corrie needs to do a more of this.
I'm hoping that Roy's memory flashbacks are signalling an end to the Lauren storyline. It's just dragged on for too long (but not as long as Stephen the serial killer!). I have a feeling that Lauren will be back. I'd like to think she bashed her stalker over the head, then took off to go into hiding and has no idea what a fuss has been made over her disappearance.
I'm confident George will do the right thing now that he's seen his dad's most recent will. He'll probably waffle over it for a while, but in the end it will all work out.
Interesting theory about Paul and Gemma's dad, and his relationship to Bernie. I tend to gloss over Bernie's character, because she drives me nuts. Maybe I'll have to pay more attention to her storyline.
Thanks so much for doing this podcast. I really enjoy hearing what you both have to say about the show, and reading the comments of the other listeners. It's nice to know I'm not the only Corrie fan out there! :)
Don’t get Adam and Alya’s flirtation unless it’s just an exit strategy for her mat leave. Denny is such a piece of work. Do you think he’s after Paul’s GoFund me $ for the new space for meetings.
Loving the return of classic comedy on the show. This has always been a hallmark of Corrie. It balances the more dramatic storylines. I agree that the Aaliyah and Adam story was brought up too abruptly. It does, however, set up both of them leaving for a period of time. Maybe he pines for her and follows her to Dublin? As always, thanks ever so much for creating this community for us.
I WAS away somewhere nice for several days and missed a few episodes... just caught up first thing today so I could finally watch your podcast. After that I can catch up on this week's adventures!
I'm not surprised at the strength of Roy's conviction when it comes to honesty but it still seems extreme to cut Carla off completely. Then again, Bobby and Carla are being selfish by not confessing to the truth of their stupid story and that might redeem Carla somewhat in Roy's eyes. He was a different Roy in these scenes - very weary and grim, and understandably so. I also liked the scene between Mary and Roy - I know they are friends but a bit surprised that he would share his thoughts about Lauren and Max. I agree - Roy should have known something about the visualization theory/method, but perhaps not how he could use it. It did appear he's getting close to something now. Finally.
Adam and Alya, gawd.... I think her grandmother might have hinted at that when Alya first quit? But, still out of the blue. Maybe Adam will finally get to be the father of a baby when she/they return.
Steve and Tim's bromance is the best and the writers feature it often enough! Love it! I'd watch that scene again - definitely a favorite. And I had forgotten about Tracy trying to sell baby Amy! Good times!
The long lost dad story.... so typical of bad absent dads to claim they are dying. Kind of a stereotype but hey, I can personally relate!
Thanks again, and hey, funny freeze frame at the end, Brittlestar! (love that theme music, brilliant)
Could Lauren’s necklace have come from Joel? He’s the only one that we know of that bought jewelry.
My favourite moment was Tim and Steve on the park bench.
Oh! This is an interesting theory!

The Steve and Tim on the bench scene was by far my favourite this week. Cracked me up, and damn near put me to tears!
This isn't the first time they've done this shtick. but this was by far the deepest and most sharing of them all.

I agree, the necklace will be a key to solving Lauren's disappearance. I dont think she is dead.
