I don’t often catch the credits anymore - this is awesome I love it!

Yob #1 was played by Fintan Buckard. That’s a name you’d recognize again and always remember where you first saw it.

The acting by both actors in the Joel and Lauren scenes and the story recap was gripping and simply excellent. The actor who plays Lauren brought a whole new level of maturity and growth to the character. And we’ve now seen a whole new side of Joel. Well played, both. I’ll enjoy watching Joel unravel. I just hope he doesn’t take down any more women. I think DeeDee needs to watch her back.

Really Leanne; if a blindfold doesn’t scream cult to you what will? (I like Linda’s and Wendy’s theory about Amy going undercover for her podcast)

I was hoping Roy would be back in the storyline though not in this way, so Sam wouldn’t have to carry the weight of all the wisdom on the street. I have felt all along Lauren was still alive (well so far anyway)

Where is Aadi? Why couldn’t he have minded the shop while Dev was golfing?

Again this week I have to say Poor Toyah but for such completely different reasons.

Loved David as ambassador to Philippines.

The line that stood out for me happened when Evelyn was talking to Nina and she told her that life is stressful, if you are doing it properly!

Yes that was a good one!

Brittlestar, you're not bringing Paul to the dark side, you're bringing him to the other side of the Street, lol.

My funny moment this week was Cassie putting the season passes down her shirt. They say in there with an obvious rectangular shape.

I am so glad we got a lot of resolution this week. I do fear that Roy will be leaving because of his fear and anxiety. I will miss the character. I will also miss the actor. I have met him a couple of times, and he is a very sweet and funny human.

Goodness, I'm late to this recap!

I'm over Cassie too... but hey, I recently saw that actor on a British baking show and I recognized her even in nice clothes and makeup!

Lauren - finally we know! Lauren made that repayment suggestion to Roy but it did somehow seem different with Joel. Still can't picture her with Bobby. And how could anyone possibly survive that severe beating to their head, let alone escape and take a bus somewhere? Agree, Joel should have been more worried that she was still out there. I still don't know why a predator like that takes such chances so close to home. You are all so observant about the timing of those scenes - I didn't really catch the differences (i.e. eyebrows? I need to pay more attention).

LeeAnne - what a ritual - wow. She's full on over the edge now. She has glimpses of reason but Rowan lures her back.

Yes, it was a good week - makes up for the doldrums. Alarming number of murders on the Street over the years, though!

More notes - I never quite felt the Tracy and Tommy O attraction (although more plausible that Glenda and Michael.... maybe a surprise pregnancy to justify it?). I also look forward to (hope for) a renewed Roy in the next few weeks.

Now, time to catch up on the last few episodes in prep for the next podcast - thank you both again!

I think the Bobby Lauren thing was maybe her desperate to break out of her pattern with Joel and she was hoping for a ‘normal’ relationship with a guy her age.

How could you miss the eyebrows??? lol. I found them distracting.

More from me. I can’t wait for Roy to shave off that very disgusting beard. It’s not at all a good look and obviously fed into the yobs (yes, I caught that in the cast credits too: yob #1, yob #2 — hilarious!). Better yet, get David (and his HAIR) to give Roy a haircut and a shave when he’s out of hospital and turns the page on the dreadful time he’s had.

I agree with Brittlestar about Betsy. Boom! She’s new to the cast and a juicy storyline right away.

I’m having a hard time with this version of Maria — constantly suspicious, constantly surveilling. Is she still sleeping in Liam’s room, I wonder? I had thought we’d seen the last of this bad Maria, until last week when she was again hurling accusations at Gary. He’ll go back to Sarah at this rate.

I think Roy is going to hang onto the facial hair until he resolves his PTSD over what happened to him. When he's clean shaven, we'll know he's on the road to recovery.

I think Maria has been suspicious of just about every partner she's ever had, all the way back to Tyrone. I vaguely recall her suspecting he was cheating on her with someone. That seems like a lifetime ago! lol

I think Maria has good reason to suspect Gary! I'm not sure about Betsy - seems a bit one-note character - mouthy streetwise teenager! She actually looks younger than 16 but who can really tell anymore!

I know I'm late...

I was actually MAD when Lauren showed back up! Roy went to jail! Why the heck couldn't she have made this little appearance sooner!

And listening to the podcast, Brittlestar is describing trying to convince Paul to join in on Corrie... Sure sounded like Rowan trying to get someone to join the INSTITUTE to me!

I suspected all along that she would show up. I figured she was on the run from her attacker and scared to come back.

I had completely lost any hope that Lauren was still alive. They kept her away so long and then, BAM, shocker! Looking forward to Joel going down for what he’s done. It’s just a matter of who will catch him out and how.

Like Shannon, I also wondered if the flashback scenes with Joel and Lauren were original or new footage, but the more I watched, I realized it was new. The giveaway was Lauren's eyebrows. She had thinner eyebrows when she disappeared, and her newer, thicker eyebrows were in all the flashback scenes. I found them so distracting I wasn't paying enough attention to what was happening on the screen. The scene with Bobby may have been original footage, but I deleted the recording before I thought to check her eyebrows. lol
