I think Bernie was cleaning because that is something she can control. Her son is dying, her daughter was restricted from her children, she was in jail. All out of her control.
Recently returned to Corrie after a 3-year hiatus, and so happy to be part of this Street adventure. I've had to do some backtracking, there is so much to catch up on.
You forgot about the Kebab shop when you were mentioning places to eat. Albeit, it's take away, but you can take it to the park and have a nosh there. And of course Roy's Rolls.
Loving this podcast and loving all the comments! My wife and I work together from home so we watch Corrie everyday while we eat lunch. We've been watching since back when Sally ran the hardware store. So nice to have a podcast that I can listen to and won't spoil things that won't happen here for months.
Firstly, the remote thing worked great. Well done you two. Stewart, loved your Dev impression - spot on! Question: Do we know where Linda got all her money from? I can't remember. Owen never had a lot of money. Anyone? I guess I'm too old for this, or lived in a different time, but if I had been bullied(and was) I'd run straight to my mum. Only other comment, I haven't been a fan of Sean since he stopped acting and started tossing his head and flouncing. It's hard to take parenting advice from someone whose only credentials came from a turkey baster :)
I thought it was Pat Phelan that assaulted Anna Windass? I know they were all intertwined somehow, I just can't remember the details in this fuzzy old brain of mine.
Linda and Owen were married and had Izzy and Katie. Katie was Joseph's mum. I can't remember, but I think they were already divorced when Owen moved to Weatherfield. I also remember Phelan raped Anna, and Owen was her boyfriend at the time, but I don't remember Owen assaulting her... Memory is a tricky thing lol
Coming back to me a bit…. Did Phelan maybe assault her as part of some deal to protect Owen who she was dating? Like she agreed to sleep with him under duress? I think Owen may have been a builder as well? Nothing good ever comes out of the builder’s yard!
Gary tried to kill Phelan and he had video of the attack, so he blackmailed Anna into sleeping with him to keep him from going to the police and sending Gary to prison. She was with Owen at the time, and later when it all came out, Owen couldn't forgive her and so they broke up
